“ I grew up in Vilone Village, with the original Casapullas "sub-shop family", Andy, Lou, Genie & of course, "Pop-Casapulla". This family owned sub shop has been in a league of their own, for over 60 yrs. They have expanded their sub shops to many locations, but still have that "family" allure we all love. But best of all, they still make the best subs, sandwiches & steak sandwiches, using the best Italian deli meats out there. Word of advice, get your order in early, they get real busy with steady all day customers. ENJOY! ”
“ I go back and forth when ordering here between Cheesesteak and Italian sub. Whichever I order is always perfect , filling and delicious. I was so happy when the came back to Hockessin. None of the other sub shops come close to their expertise and flavor. The deli meat tastes extremely fresh. The employees are always, friendly and courteous. They genuinely seem like the live working there. In my opinion Casapullas Hockessin is a 12 out of 10 and any other sub shop around is no more than a 4. Rachel and Allysa are there since opening and extremely pleasant and friendly. So is everyone else I just never got their names, yet. I'll be getting a large Italian ty tonight for dinner. I go at least once or twice a week. Thanks Casapullas Hockessin!!! ”
“ Well, we tried this location when they first opened and they were still working things out. Today we tried it again and it was very good. We ordered a cheesesteak and three sandwiches. They were made perfectly as ordered and filled meat and cheese. The bread was fresh and soft. There is seating inside and plenty of parking out front. The staff was friendly taking our order, but at pick up not so much. Four sandwiches, one bag of chips and two drinks was $60.00. A little pricey for lunch meat and a cheesesteak, but everything is now days. Good lunch for something different. ”

“ We were really happy to learn that Casapullas has a Hockessin location. We arrived at about 1:30pm on a Saturday. We ordered for two of us to eat there and two to go. They were really backed up yet the young lady working the register was very friendly. The cheesesteaks were delicious. We did wait about 25 minutes for the steaks to eat at the location. The dining area is large but there are no condiments or napkins on the tables and no one really seems to eat there. We had to ask for condiments and napkins. In hindsight, we should have had the to go order placed after the in-restaurant meal. The to-go steaks were just not as good because they were not hot. The microwave could not restore them to their previous glory. Observations- The grill needs to be double the size and somehow can the temp be increased? Four people were working the grill and we could hear complaints that it wasn't hot enough for the approximately 30 steaks on the grill. Also, it would be helpful to have numbers or an organization system for the many pick-up orders. There seemed to be a lot of confusion surrounding the pick-up orders. For example, there was a guy named Nick with an order and two other Nick orders. Maybe use last name? All told, Casapulas still beats Capriottis! ”
